Following the all-party meeting convened by Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in Srinagar to address the Pahalgam Terrorist Attack, political leaders expressed solidarity and condemned the brutal attack that occurred in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025.
The terrorist attack on Tuesday in Pahalgam targeted tourists at Baisaran meadow, killing 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen, while leaving several others injured, in one of the deadliest attacks in the valley since the 2019 Pulwama strike in which 40 CRPF jawans were killed.
Speaking to ANI, Karat said, "What happened in Pahalgam, the innocent tourists were killed, CPI-M has condemned this incident...whatever steps the government takes against this, we will support it. It is unimaginable that someone could kill innocent people and tourists like this..."
