As many as 8 people infected with the Covid-19 virus have been admitted, while one person have died of the virus on Friday, confirmed Dr Suresh Kumar, Medical Director of LNJP Hospital.
The national capital logged 416 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours, the highest in over seven months, stated a bulletin issued by the Delhi Health Department on Saturday.
India continued to report over 3,000 COVID cases for the second day in a row with 3,095 new infections in the last 24 hours, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Friday. The country recorded the highest one-day fresh infections in the last nearly six months.
Notably, Corona cases are increasing across the country, including that in the national capital, pertaining to which the experts are constantly warning people and advising them to wear masks.
"There is no need to worry right now but we are taking the necessary steps on time. Till now three deaths have been confirmed, two deaths on Wednesday and one death before that," the CM said adding that these deaths could probably be due to comorbidities and COVID-19 incidentals.

Speaking to reporters after chairing an emergency meeting on the Covid situation in the Capital, on Thursday, Bhardwaj said "there is no need to panic as of now, but we are monitoring the situation."
It stated further that a total of 1,396 recoveries were made from the virus in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 4,41,68,321.
