Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in his remark on covid cases in the state said "We are conducting a daily review of the covid situation in Maharashtra. All the officials of the administration and health department have been instructed to take precautionary measures".
Speaking to ANI on Wednesday, Bijay Kumar Mohapatra, Director of Health Services, said, "Today, five new (COVID) cases have been detected, taking the total active cases to 27. We are conducting qualitative, symptomatic testing."
Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the capital recorded 10 new COVID cases in the last 24 hours with no instances of the new variant detected so far.
The total number of active cases is 148, with no detection of the JN.1 variant. It's noted that 51% of these cases are asymptomatic, and the symptomatic cases present mild symptoms and recover within a few days, the health department said.
