After six days of a nationwide falling trend in COVID cases, India reported a hike on Wednesday with 10,542 new infections, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Amid rising Coronavirus cases across the country, the West Bengal government issued a Covid-19 advisory on Tuesday. It advises people to avoid mass gatherings especially by the elderly, children, pregnant women and persons with co-morbidities.

Delhi reported 1,634 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours with the positivity rate standing at 29.68 per cent, the state health department said in a bulletin on Sunday.
With rising covid cases in Tamil Nadu, Madras High Court has made wearing masks & maintaining physical distance in the court premises compulsory from Apr 17. It also advised people to avoid entering the court campus if their cases are not listed.
"Mishra's test report is positive," Raj Bhavan said and suggested that those who came into contact with him recently get themselves tested and follow Covid guidelines.
A total of 909 patients have successfully recovered from Covid. A total of 5499 tests were conducted out of which 1594 were rapid antigen tests," the health bulletin mentioned.
"It's a matter of concern that the number of covid cases is increasing day by day. although very few positive cases are in West Bengal. The state government has not issued any notification over the Covid protocols. We appeal to the government to issue the notification to avoid any pandemic s
