The COVID-19 cases in India have seen an upward trend in the past few days with the daily fresh infections ranging between 2,994 on April 1 to 3,824 on April 2 and 3,641 on April 3 and 3038 on April 4.
The national capital logged 416 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours, the highest in over seven months, stated a bulletin issued by the Delhi Health Department on Saturday.

Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan on Monday chaired a high-level meeting to review the preparedness status of the entire spectrum of management of the COVID19 pandemic in view of the upsurge in cases, with States and UTs through a Video Conference.
The Union Health Ministry stated that a total of 932 recoveries were made in the last 24 hours increasing the total recoveries to 4,41,64,815. The recovery Rate is currently at 98.79 per cent
The Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan will hold a meeting with States' health secretaries and senior officers on Monday evening, via video conferencing, to review the preparedness for COVID-19.
