The UAE Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence and the COP28 Presidency have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote tolerance, coexistence, and human fraternity during COP28.
The COP28 Presidency will host the Business and Philanthropy Climate Forum (BPCF) on 1st and 2nd December, held concurrently with the world leaders World Climate Action Summit.
The COP28 Presidency seeks to deliver a “human-centric COP”, with focus on nature, food, health and climate resilience, Al Mubarak explained, adding that they seek to involve all segments of society in the process, while ensuring that youth lead the efforts.
Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the Minister of State for Foreign Trade, and the COP28 Presidency will co-lead the committee on trade for COP28 alongside the WTO Secretariat.
Tajani reiterated the depth of the friendship relations between Italy and the UAE, noting that his country is ready to contribute to the success of the UAE COP28 Presidency, underlining the importance of dealing with the climate change's issues pragmatically
In his new role, Al Remeithi will draw on his expertise to ensure effective coordination between the two entities, spearheading efforts to foster cooperation between the COP 28 Presidency team and the UNFCCC Secretariat, while simultaneously building strong relationships with his counterpart
