Speaking to ANI on Republic Day security arrangements, "Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Devesh Kumar Mahla said, "All arrangements are being made to stop any nuisance. Repeated rehearsals and training of the team are being done. Around 8,000 forces have been deployed for the event."

Republic Day parade rehearsals continued to be held in full swing at Kartavya Path in the national capital on Saturday. For the first time in the country, a tri-service contingent will be marching in this year's Republic Day Parade.
A 95-member marching contingent and a 33-member band contingent from France participated in the Republic Day parade rehearsal at Vijay Chowk on Saturday as preparations continue in full swing.
"It is a wonderful experience and we hope that it inspires and motivates the women of the country, the younger girls, to join the defence forces and be part of a bigger change in society," Lt Rohil said.
The rehearsals started on January 13 and will continue until January 21. The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory for possible routes to avoid, given the dress rehearsals.
