Bharatiya Janata Party leader Shahnawaz Hussain on Monday condemned the derogatory remarks made by Congress leader Raja Pateria and said that the people of the country would never forgive him for his "deplorable" statement.
Pateria made the remark during a meeting of Mandalam Sector presidents organised by the District Congress Committee at Powai Rest House in Panna on Sunday.
After a row following his alleged remark, which has since then gone viral on social media after which several BJP supporters clamoured for his arrest. Pateriya on Monday offered a clarification stating that his comments were wrongly interpreted and that he meant defeating Modi electorally.
