With the Bihar Assembly elections nearing, senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot on Thursday said that it was "natural for Tejashwi Yadav to be the Mahagathbandhan's Chief Ministerial face", adding that top leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, had him in mind for the role.
While the INDIA bloc leaders endorsed Tejashwi's candidature for the top post in the state, they questioned the NDA alliance for not rallying behind incumbent Nitish Kumar as their leader

"All is well in the Mahagathbandhan. There are always grievances among the party workers. They have expectations, and they should be given a chance," Ram told reporters here.
Congress leader Pawan Khera on Thursday addressed the ongoing political discourse in Bihar, dismissing claims of discord within the Mahagathbandhan alliance.
"Let the opposition say whatever they want to say, but there was never a clash between us (Mahagathbandhan). Is this (Tejashwi Yadav's photo in the poster) a relevant issue? Does this issue make any sense to the youth of Bihar?" Khera said.
BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain on Thursday hit out at the opposition bloc's "significant differences" and claimed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav failed to resolve internal issues within Mahagathbandhan which has resulted in a friendly fight between the two partie
"The reason why Modi is not going is simple. He just doesn't want to be cornered by President Trump who will also be there. He refused an invitation to attend the Gaza peace summit in Egypt a few weeks back, precisely for this reason," the Congress MP said.
Bihar BJP president Dilip Jaiswal took a sharp dig at the Mahagathbandhan, highlighting internal rifts and questioning its ability to govern effectively.
