Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge on Friday dismissed speculation over discussions regarding a change of leadership in the state, asserting that Congress is united and will remain united.
He added that the deliberations also touched upon the ticket distribution process. "We had a lot of applications here, too, but tickets are given to only a few people. So, there's no benefit in blaming anyone," he said, emphasising the need for unity and introspection within the party.
Congress leader Supriya Shrinate took a swipe at the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in a press conference in Delhi, reiterating the Congress party's "vote theft" claims through Special Intensive Revision (SIR) on the BJP during the Bihar elections 2025.
Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, Shivakumar categorically denied meeting Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge or Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi during his visit to the city.
Mishra mocked the Congress's handling of the crisis and said contradictory statements from its senior leaders reflect deeper organisational confusion. "What is the Congress high command? This is the biggest question," he said.

Congress MLC and son of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Yathindra Siddaramaiah, on Thursday backed his father for the CM post, saying that he is not aware of any "power sharing agreement" between Siddaramaiah and state Deputy CM DK Shivakumar.
