Sonowal, who is the Member of Parliament from Dibrugarh LSC, attended a public program on the Prime Minister's Street Vendor's AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) scheme at the Auniati Satra branch in Mankota Road, Dibrugarh.
"Despite Congress's continuous false allegations and slanderous remarks against the Bharatiya Janata Party, the people of India have overwhelmingly welcomed the BJP in every corner of the country," the Assam State BJP said in a statement.
Speaking at the MP Merit Awards 2025 programme in Alappuzha, the Telangana Chief Minister accused the BJP of "snatching away the rights of the youth" and asserted that the Congress is fighting to safeguard the constitutional rights.
Saha also informed that the present government has been working for the development of the Janajati people and Janajati areas. For that, in the 2024-25 Financial Year, an additional Rs 170 crore has been allocated to TTAADC, and in the 2025-26 FY, Rs 860 crore has been sanctioned.
"The primary goal of the PM SVANidhi scheme is self-reliance. Through this, an individual can support their family with dignity. Prime Minister Narendra Modi envisioned this strength and created the scheme to empower the poor and marginalised financially," Sonowal said in his address.
