Russian Ambassador to India, Denis Alipov, on Tuesday expressed his grief over the recent demise of veteran Indian politician and former External Affairs Minister SM Krishna.
Speaking to ANI, Joshi said "SM Krishna a was senior leader in the country and Karnataka. He made a huge contribution to building the brand Bengaluru. He was a leader who took political decisions fearlessly. I express my deepest condolences on his demise."
Takin to social media X, Sitharaman wrote in a post that Krishna made invaluable contributions to public life and served with distinction as the Chief Minister and the Union Minister of External Affairs.
"His demise is a huge loss for Karnataka...As a CM his contribution to the state goes beyond his tenure. Bengaluru to become 'Silicon Valley' and to put on the map itself is his contribution, that will always be remembered...," Kumble said.

On Saturday, the makers organized a success meet where they paid condolences over the death of the fan in the stampede that ensued at Hyderabad's Sandhya Theatre on December 4.
On December 4, the fans of Allu Arjun thronged the theatre in Hyderabad, following which the police resorted to mild lathicharge to control the crowd. A woman was killed and her son was injured in the incident.
