Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala on Saturday slammed the "inaction" of the Left Democratic Front government in Kerala over the Hema Committee report that revealed rampant sexual exploitation, illegal bans and inhuman working conditions in the Malayalam film industry.
Congress leader Satheesan also alleged that Kerala Culture Minister Saji Charan was "trying to avoid" an investigation and demanded that he resign immediately.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday said that the Hema committee report on the Malayalam film industry had not been withheld deliberately and Justice Hema had requested that the parts of the report should not be released publicly as it contained sensitive personal information.
