The Union Minister of Commerce made these comments after the conclusion of the 13th India-US Trade Policy Forum with his US counterpart United States Trade Representative Ambassador Katherine Tai in Washington.
Goyal took to Twitter to post, "Addressed an industry gathering at the @USISPForum reception in Washington DC, along with U.S. Trade Representative, @AmbassadorTai. Spoke about the deepening of India-US trade engagement and the tremendous opportunities that lie ahead for both nations."
Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, currently in the United States, highlighted the India story, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and urged the Indian diaspora to expand India's reach to global markets.
"India has been evolving. A lot of structural changes that took place in the last eight years have had a significant impact on the way the Indian economy is poised to take off in the next 25 years," Union Minister Piyush Goyal said.
Sixty-one project proposals pertaining to road, railways, natural gas, ports and urban infrastructure have been evaluated in terms of optimising PM GatiShakti principles and recommended by NPG for implementation in the coming years, the ministry said.

After the Bangladesh-India Commerce Minister level meeting, Munshi held a press conference here where he said that in response to India's suggestion for reopening the bordering haats, Dhaka said that there are efforts to reopen the border haats.
The last meeting between the Commerce Ministers of the two countries was held in Dhaka in September 2018. The commerce ministry said both sides held comprehensive discussions to further strengthen bilateral economic relations.
In a statement, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said Goyal complimented partner countries for taking the initiative in right earnest. He expressed his belief that IPEF will promote inclusive development through the enhancement of trade and investment in the region.
He added, "They are not even backed by RTI (Right to Information). They are a lot of cases when you go for fact-checking and it would come out with fake claims. There is a senior member in the House in the front."
