Udhampur district in Jammu and Kashmir witnessed a sudden dip in temperature on Sunday as rainfall lashed the area, bringing it under the grip of a cold wave once again.

A thin layer of fog enveloped the national capital on Saturday morning with the mercury recorded at 7 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal temperature, the India Meteorological Department said.
