TMC MP Mahua Moitra on Friday alleged that Enforcement Directorate was "committing robbery" at the I-PAC office, where all of the TMC's data related to elections was present, and justified West Bengal Mamata Banerjee's actions to protect that data.
Patra said the ED conducted searches at 10 locations across the country, six in West Bengal and four in Delhi, in connection with an alleged coal scam and linked hawala transactions. According to him, raids were carried out on premises connected to Anup Majhi, an accused in the coal scam,
"Who does the constitutional head want to protect by snatching the evidence and files? She (Mamata) did it to protect those who are involved in the coal scam and Hawala cases," the BJP leader said.
