While presiding over a meeting late evening on Saturday in Shimla, the Chief Minister asked the corporation to speed up its construction works and reduce the duration of its tender process to maximize revenue and benefit the people of the state.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu laid the foundation stone for the first PET Block at Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla on Friday to be constructed with a cost of Rs 45.68 crore including Rs 21 crore Single Positron Emission Tomography (PET) CT machine
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday said that the Covid-19 active cases are increasing in the state however the situation is not alarming adding that precautionary measures are being adopted by the state government.
The Chief Minister participated in nearly 2 km of walking from the Secretariat to his residence at oak-over in Shimla. The other participants completed the 5 km long walk here.
On the occasion of the completion of over 100 days of the Himachal Pradesh Government, CM Sukhu also mentioned that the state government is working towards becoming a zero-tolerant state towards corruption and is also aiming to become the first green energy state in the country.
"Rahul Gandhi has emerged as a strong leader who can challenge the ruling BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls," Sukhu said while condemning the decision to disqualify Rahul Gandhi.
He made the announcement while presiding over the annual prize distribution function of Government Degree College, Sanjauli, his alma mater on Saturday.
"After the court's verdict, within 24 hours Rahul Gandhi's membership was disqualified shows that the BJP is feeling threatened by his growing popularity, as he had got an overwhelming response to his pad yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir," Himachal CM said.
"The matter is sub judice and I will not be able to speak much on it. To raise finger is a political gimmick to target Rahul Gandhi. They (BJP) use different tactics against him but he is not afraid," CM Sukhu said.
