Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah assured that discussion will be held regarding the implementation of the old pension scheme in the cabinet and a decision will be taken to announce it in the budget.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday instructed officials to take necessary steps to strengthen the health system of the state through the National Health Mission and set a deadline of three months for setting the anomalies.
Renowned film Director and producer SV Rajendra Babu and a delegation of National Film Awardees met Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday and discussed the construction of Film City in Mysuru and other issues.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday said that officials have been instructed to start at least 250 Indira canteens, one for each ward of Bengaluru.
"Shakti scheme is a program for women. Women, who make up half of society, have been exploited for centuries. Minorities and women are deprived of opportunities and literacy," said Siddaramaiah.
Expressing gratitude to the party workers and voters in his constituency Varuna, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the people of the state defeated evil politics and made a historic decision.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday said that there is no confusion regarding Griha Lakshmi and Griha Jyoti schemes, two among five guarantees which were promised in the Congress manifesto, and asserted his government will do what it had said.
While addressing a meeting with various caste leaders, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah said, "The caste-wise survey will provide the necessary data for taking appropriate decisions about the facilities to be provided to the people (preferential treatment)."
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah emphasized that industrial development in the state will be encouraged as the sector has immense potential to generate employment opportunities.
"People should not get confused. We will provide 200 units of free electricity to all households, even if they are staying on rent," Siddaramaiah said.
Speaking to reporters at Davanagere helipad, "Budget session will mostly begin from July 3 and the budget will be presented on July 7 and a decision would be taken in this regard in the cabinet meeting."
