Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday welcomed Lord Shiva devotees to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand and said that Haridwar is the centre of reverence for the whole country and the holy place has the special blessings of Mother Ganga and Lord Bholenath.
The CM said that on the one hand, the Himalayan Cultural Center will present a live picture of the state's rich cultural heritage, while on the other, it will reflect the commitment of the government towards the conservation, promotion, and development of culture.

Talking to media persons in New Delhi after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Dhami said, "We will neither take too much time. We will nor rush to disarray things. We will give it (UCC) a proper thought".
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's strong endorsement of the UCC brought it back to the spotlight. PM Modi said that the country cannot run on two laws and that Uniform Civil Code was part of the Constitution.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday extended greetings and best wishes to the people, especially the Muslim citizens of the state on the occasion of Eid-ul-Zuha.
In view of heavy rains during monsoon, the Chief Minister asked his officials to make an effective action plan to reduce the effects of possible disasters.
"NDRF, ITBT and personnel of other departments are coordinating with each other. Everyone has been asked to remain in an alert mode in case of a natural disaster," CM Dhami told ANI on the prevailing situation due to rainfall in the state.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister, on Monday, honoured the state democracy fighters during the emergency at the CM'S residence in the capital.
"Whatever demands have been given by the democracy fighters, work will be done on them with all seriousness", said CM Dhami.
