A day after he surprisingly threw his hat in the ring for the post of Karnataka's Chief Minister, Dr G Parameshwara on Wednesday said that there is nothing controversial in selecting the candidate for State's top job.
According to party sources the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) chief DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah, a former CM and leader of Opposition, the two main contenders for the chief minister's post will meet with Rahul Gandhi at 10 Janpath.
While talking exclusively to ANI, DK Shivakumar said, "If the party wants they can give me the responsibility.......ours is a united house... Whether they like me or not, I am a responsible man. I will not backstab or blackmail."
Karnataka Congress president DK Shivakumar is scheduled to be in the national capital Delhi on Tuesday amid a cliffhanger regarding the decision on the next chief minister after the party's emphatic win in the State.

"There is nothing wrong to have ambition or a dream in politics everybody has it, so I don't think there is anything wrong with saying openly about it. In fact, he is very honest in talking about his ambition," NCP leader Supriya Sule told ANI.
