Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Monday said that decks have been cleared for the resumption of domestic flights from Adampur airport in Jalandhar and soon flights will be started from the hub of Doaba region to the other states of the country, an official statement said.
In his latest communication to Mann, Governor Purohit reiterated that he was not getting any reply from him on his previous letters, and warned him that he could send a report to the President on “failure of constitutional mechanism.”
"The Indian Embassy has contacted the girl from village Adkawas, district Sangrur, who is seeking repatriation from Malaysia. Gurwinder Kaur will soon return to her family after the paperwork," Bhagwant Mann informed via Twitter.
The Chief Minister, who was here to assess the situation in the wake of incessant rains, held detailed parleys with the officers of the state government, district administration, and Bhakra Beas Management.
According a press release from the chief minister office, the government is aiming to provide safety to the girl students so that they can bring laurels to the state in the education sector.
Bhagwant Mann mentioned that this would be the 10th toll plaza that he will be making free for commuters. Earlier in April, Mann made the Kiratpur Sahib-Anandpur Sahib-Nangal-Una toll plaza free for commuters.
