Taking a dig at the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Karnataka assembly, Siddaramaiah for comparing Prime Minister Narendra Modi with German dictator Adolf Hitler, state Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday said that such "cheap" remarks are not a part of the state's political culture.
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday assured of more support to the weavers of the State in the coming budget and also promised full assistance to them from raw materials up to technology development.
"In other countries, they prepare an outlook report that predicts the rainfall based on the rains received in the last decade," Basavaraj Bommai said after inaugurating the Mela.
Talking to the reporters at the airport here on Monday, CM said, "the festival's valedictory function was held today. Sportspersons from various states attended and displayed their talents. Such an event will inspire the youths of this region to make achievements."
On Saturday, Nitin Gadkari received two threatening calls in response to which, the Nagpur Police later beefed up the security around Union minister Nitin Gadkari.
Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, CM said department-wise discussion for the budget will start soon, following which one round of discussion will be held with various associations and organisations.
