Rescue operations are reportedly underway as authorities continue efforts to locate missing persons and provide relief to those affected. As per the Deputy Commissioner of Kishtwar, Pankaj Sharma, the rescue operations are underway.

A massive cloudburst on Thursday triggered a flash flood in the Chashoti area of Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir, along the route of the Machail Mata Yatra.
"The damage is occurring at multiple locations due to ongoing rain. Even last night, significant losses occurred, though they were mostly related to infrastructure," Thakur told reporters. He confirmed that cloudburst incidents have been reported from the Rampur assembly constituency.
The flood was triggered by a cloudburst in the higher reaches of the Rishi Dogri Valley. The strong flow of water swept away a bridge across the Sutlej River and left one person injured, as per the Indian Army.
As per the SDMA report, the cumulative monsoon death toll has climbed to 240, which includes 125 fatalities in rain-related incidents such as landslides, flash floods, and cloudbursts, and 115 deaths in road accidents.
A landslide caused by rain has blocked the road in Nandprayag. Work is underway to clear it, and all other roads in the district are open with smooth traffic, said an official on Monday.
A massive mudslide struck Dharali village in the Kheer Gad area near Harsil, triggering a sudden flow of debris and water through the settlements on August 5. The cloudburst led to flash floods in the high-altitude villages of Dharali. Several houses were reported to have been swept away.
Transport aircraft C295 landed at Dharasu town in Uttarkashi district from Agra on Sunday morning with personnel, technicians, and relief material for conducting rescue and relief operations.
All senior police officers and team leaders of various branches of police - SDRF, Fire Service, PAC, Telecom, etc., who were sent for effective conduct of relief and rescue operations in Uttarkashi district, attended the meeting.
