The Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud on Thursday declined to interfere with the listing of former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain's bail plea before a different bench combination.

As a lawyer on Friday told the Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud to think of reforming the Supreme Court's Collegium system and system of designating advocates as seniors, CJI said he is a "servant of the law and the Constitution" and has to follow the position laid down by the law.
The Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud on Thursday announced that the Keshavananda Bharti judgement is now available in 10 Indian languages on the website of the Supreme Court.
"This is a memorable day for us. This year we got a statue of Babasaheb Ambedkar on Supreme Court premises, it feels like he is amongst us," CJI Chandrachud said
The CJI's remarks came while he was addressing a gathering at the Justice Keshav Chandra Dhulia Memorial Lecture. Justice Keshav Chandra Dhulia is the father of sitting Supreme Court judge Sudhanshu Dhulia.
Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud said on Friday that with the advent of troll armies and organised disinformation campaigns across different social media platforms, the fear is that there is an overwhelming barrage of speech that distorts the truth.
President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday praised the Supreme Court for publishing verdicts in various regional languages on its website adding that as the language of the higher judiciary is English, making it difficult for a large section of society to understand the judicial processes.
