Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu on Monday said that the Civil Aviation Ministry is considering amending existing laws to deal with false bomb threats on aircraft and plans to put those who make such threats on a no-fly list.
Vistara and Akasa Air received security threats on twelve flights -- six for each airline -- operating on Sunday, prompting the airlines to activate their emergency protocols.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) is in talks with the other concerned ministries to make required amendments in the existing laws to make them more stringent to deal with the cases of hoax bomb threats for flights, MoCA sources said.
