The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has launched an investigation into an incident on Friday when two aeroplanes, one of Air India and the other of Nepal Airlines Corporation, came perilously close to colliding in mid-air, The Himalayan Times reported.
The IATA, which represents some 300 airlines comprising 83 per cent of global air traffic, said USD 290 million were stuck in Pakistan as of January, which increased by almost a third since December.
The EU mission in Nepal and the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) on Friday said that they are postponing a planned on-site assessment visit to the Pokhara plane crash site, as mandated by the EU Air Safety Committee.
Rescuers recovered one more body out of the two missing persons on Wednesday in the Yeti airlines plane crash which occurred on January 15 in the Pokhara region of Nepal. The toll of the total bodies found has reached 71 now.

The Nepal Army also handed over the flight data recorder, following the crash. The twin-engine ATR 72 aircraft from Kathmandu crashed in Pokhara minutes before touch-down on Sunday. A total of 68 bodies have been recovered so far from the site of the crash.
Nepal's Civil Aviation Authority on Sunday said that 68 passengers on board the ATR-72 Yeti Airlines flight, which crashed somewhere between the old airport of Pokhara region and the Pokhara International Airport, were confirmed dead.
