The Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi on Tuesday directed the jail authorities to allow Christian Michel James, an accused in the Augusta Westland VVIP chopper deal case, to apply for his passport to fulfil his bail conditions.
The court also directed Michel to surrender his passport. Since his passport has already expired, the court directed him to apply for a new passport with the British High Commission as per the prescribed rules. The court further said that he will provide his residential address in Delhi.
The Rouse Avenue court has recently dismissed the plea of accused Christian James Michel seeking release from custody on the ground that he has undergone a maximum period of detention.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to entertain a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) plea seeking to cancel the bail plea of businessman Rajeev Saxena, accused-turned-approver in the AgustaWestland chopper deal case.
Delhi's Rouse Avenue court on Friday directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to file an affidavit on a plea moved by Agusta Westland Chopper scam case accused Christian James Michel seeking the list of "un-relied" documents received from the United Kingdom.
