The security forces in a joint operation recovered three improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh on Monday and diffused them.
The paramilitary forces deployed in the region constructed a ropeway on a river displaying their commitment to society, reducing challenges to the lives of people residing in the insurgency-hit Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh.
Two Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) security personnel were killed and one was injured after the vehicle they were traveling in, overturned in the Balrampur district.

The IED was recovered by the joint team of CoBRA and CRPF during an anti-naxal drive-area domination campaign and was planted to cause harm to the security forces.
In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to poll-bound Chhattisgarh on Tuesday, security arrangements have been beefed up, said Inspector General of Police of Bastar, P Sundarraj.
A Naxalite was killed in an encounter with the joint security team of Dhamtari and Gariaband districts in the jungles of Ekkawari under Borai police station in Dhamtari district on Sunday, according to an official.
According to the Superintendent of Police, Shalabh Kumar Sinha, in a joint operation of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Border Security Force (BSF), three Naxals were arrested, out of which two of them carry a reward of Rs eight lakhs each on their arrest.
"An IED weighing about 5 kilograms was recovered from the area, and it was destroyed on the spot by following the security standards. All the soldiers are safe. Searching is going on in the area", officials said.
