The Badminton Association of India (BAI) on Thursday announced both men's and women's teams for the upcoming prestigious tournament to be played in Chengdu, China from April 27 to May 5.
India finished seventh in the FISU World University Games with a best-ever haul of 26 medals – 11 gold, five silver and 10 bronze. The 31st edition of the games was held in Chengdu from July 28 to August 8. Significantly, before this edition, India managed to win just 18 medal

On Monday, India took home six medals. In addition to four gold medals, India received a silver medal in men's individual 10m air rifle from Divyansh Singh Panwar and a bronze medal in men's individual compound archery from Aman Saini, as per Olympics.com.
