Dubbed the 'Greatest Show on Court', the World Padel League will see 24 of the biggest names in the sport competing in a unique format that features four teams - The Jaguars, The Panthers, The Tigers and The Cheetahs.
Cheetah 'Uday' died on Sunday evening and its post mortem was conducted on Monday. Uday was among the batch of 12 cheetahs (7 males, 5 females) that were translocated from South Africa to India on February 17, 2023.
"Hundreds of farmers are committing suicide in the country every day but the PM, and state leaders aren't bothered, they're bringing and showing us Cheetahs from Africa, Namibia," Telangana CM said.
Noted wildlife activist Ajay Dubey has claimed that the death of two cheetahs at Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh's Sheopur district was a failure of the state Forest Department's wildlife management team.
Another Cheetah, Uday, who was brought from South Africa, died during treatment after falling ill at Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh, State Chief Conservator of Forest (CCF) JS Chauhan said on Sunday.
'Oban' - one of the male Namibian cheetahs, who ran away from the Kuno National Park and was heading towards the Uttar Pradesh border, was rescued and brought back, informed the forest officials.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday congratulated the winners of the contest wherein the citizens have to come up with suggestions for cheetahs reintroduced from Namibia and South Africa.
In this regard, a competition was organized on the Government of India platform mygov.in from September 26 to October 31, 2022. In response, a total of 11,565 entries were received suggesting new names for reintroduced cheetahs.

Both the Cheetahs are covering a distance of around 25 to 30 kilometres daily. The female Cheetah Asha is roaming within the limits of the Kuno National Park while Oban is roaming out the park. The team of the forest department is continuously monitoring the movements of the cheetahs.
"Elton and Freddie, two male coalition Cheetahs have been released in the free-ranging area in Kuno today successfully at 6.30 pm. Both are doing well and are healthy," tweeted Kuno National Park.
