Indian stock markets remained shut on Wednesday on account of Ganesh Chaturthi. Since the festival is a state holiday in Maharashtra, both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE), which are headquartered in Mumbai, observed a trading holiday.
Uttarakhand CM Dhami prayed that the festival of Lord Ganesha, remover of obstacles and bestower of prosperity, brings happiness, peace, prosperity, and renewed energy into everyone's lives.
In a social media post on X, Gandhi wrote, "Heartfelt wishes and congratulations to all of you on the auspicious occasion of Shri Ganesh Chaturthi. May this auspicious occasion remove all your obstacles and bring happiness, peace, and prosperity."
Devotees thronged the Shree Siddhivinayak Ganpati Temple in Mumbai on Wednesday to offer prayers on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. The ten-day festival, starting today, will conclude on Anantha Chaturdashi.
With a day away from Ganesh Chaturthi, festive preparations are in full swing across the country, including in the film industry. The festival holds a special place in the hearts of many Bollywood celebrities.
The Chief Minister expressed his wishes that the worship of Lord Ganesha would dispel all hurdles and challenges, fostering progress, prosperity, and development for both the nation and the state.
