Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Wednesday termed ISRO’s achievement in executing the soft landing of Chandrayaan-3’s Vikram lander module a "saga of continuity in a truly fantastic way".
After the success of Chandrayaan-3, West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose on Wednesday congratulated the team of Chandrayaan mission scientists on their success and allied establishments for their unparalleled achievement.
US Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday congratulated India for Chandrayaan-3’s successful landing on the southern polar region of the moon, called it an “incredible feat for all scientists, engineers involved”.
“Congratulations to ISRO and all of the people of India. This is a victory not only for India but for the entire world as we go into this new era of lunar development and India is leading the way,” Gold said on Chandrayaan-3’s successful landing on the Moon.
The UK member of parliament said: “Today, history was made as no other country landed their craft on the south pole of the Moon. It was a very emotional day for all of us. I saw the touchdown. It was a nerve-wracking experience for all those people.”
As India celebrated the successful landing of the Chandrayaan-3 lander module on the moon’s South Pole, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, on Wednesday expressed pride in India’s scientific and technological progress and said “Hail India, Jai Hind!”.
As India scripted history on Wednesday with the Chandryaan-3 successfully performing a soft landing on the moon, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha celebrated its success by participating in an event organized by state Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM).
Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit said on Wednesday that Chandrayaan-3's successful soft landing on the moon's surface is "a very proud and historic moment for India".
After the success of Chandrayaan-3, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday dialled Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chairman S Somanath from South Africa's Johannesburg to congratulate him and said he would soon visit them in Bengaluru to greet the entire team in person.
India's permanent representative to the United Nations (UN) Ruchira Kamboj has said Chandrayaan-3’s successful landing on the Moon is a historic moment for humanity as “we venture into uncharted territory near the moon's South Pole”.
“Feeling the fervour all the way from Johannesburg for Chandrayaan-3! The enthusiasm of our diaspora in South Africa for India's achievements in the space sector is truly gladdening,” PM Modi tweeted on Wednesday.
As India scripted history on Wednesday, with the Chandryaan-3 successfully performing a soft landing on the moon, Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw congratulated the Indian scientists on their success.
