CPRO North Eastern Railway Pankaj Kumar on Friday confirmed that as many as three people have been killed in the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express derailment. Seven have been critically injured and five people have sustained minor injuries.
Divisional Railway Manager of North-Eastern Railway Aditya Kumar on Friday said that around 800 railway personnel carried out the restoration work after the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express derailed in Gonda.
The restoration work is underway at the site of the accident after the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express derailed in Gonda, claiming the lives of three people and injuring 30.
After the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express derailment, which claimed two lives, North Eastern Railway General Manager Saumya Mathur announced that an ex-gratia relief of Rs 10 lakh would be provided to the family of deceased.
