Following the blast reported outside BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia's residence in Jalandhar, Special DGP Arpit Shukla said that two people have been arrested in this case and claimed that it was done to disturb the communal harmony in the state.
The Punjab Police, in coordination with Central Agencies and Delhi Police, arrested the second perpetrator of the Chandigarh Grenade Blast case within 72 hours.
The police have registered the FIR under sections 109, 351 (2), 333, 61 of BNS, Sections 3, 4, 5, and 6 of the Explosive Substance Act 1908, and sections 13 and 16 under the UAPA (Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act).
Chandigarh Police has announced a reward of Rs. 2 lakh for anyone providing information leading to the arrest of the other two suspects involved in the blast case at Sector 10.
