Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday hailed India's javelin ace Neeraj Chopra after he clinched his and the country's first gold medal in the World Athletics Championships 2023 in Budapest.
Speaking to ANI on India's first gold medal at the World Athletics Championship in Budapest, the athlete's father Satish Kumar said, "This is a very proud moment for our country as we got a gold medal in the World Championship as well. We will celebrate once Neeraj comes back to India."
Soon after Neeraj Chopra bagged the gold medal at the prestigious World Athletics Championships in Hungary's Budapest, the Indian Army congratulated the athlete on his special and monumental achievement.
