Chamoli District Magistrate said, "Thirty three people were rescued initially, out of which three were critically injured. They were treated at Mana's Army Hospital, and today, they have been brought to the Military Hospital in Joshimath."

Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman on Saturday said that the rescue and relief operations are taking place swiftly and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is continuously reviewing the ongoing rescue operation.
A total of 33 Border Roads Organisation (BRO) workers trapped under an avalanche near Mana village in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district have been rescued, officials said on Saturday.
"PMO, HMO, and RMO are constantly taking updates on the situation. Indian Air Force helicopters are also kept on standby, and they will get to work as soon as the weather clears. Some rescue teams are also going by road. We will set up a temporary control room in Joshimath," Dhami told repor
He has been constantly monitoring the rescue operations and reviewing the situation. The Chief Minister said that the state government is fully committed to the safety and assistance of every affected person.
NDRF Director General Piyush Anand said their focus was to evacuate the maximum number of people. He added that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has been monitoring the operation closely and has given directions to save every life.
He said the situation remained difficult due to continuous snowfall in the region. However, Suman added that rescue operations were underway to rescue trapped Border Roads Organisation (BRO) workers.
