The Delhi High Court has sought responses from the Delhi government and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in a plea moved by an NGO raising the issue of corruption in the purchase of the disinfectant for the AIIMS Trauma Centre at exorbitant rates without any tender in 2012-2014.
Earlier on October 7 last year, the CBI filed a chargesheet against former Bihar chief ministers Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi, their daughter Misa Bharti and 13 others in the alleged land-for-job scam.
CBI, probing the case, served a third notice to Avinash Reddy, asking him to appear at its Hyderabad office on Monday, but the latter couldn't appear before the agency following his prior programmes.
The Rouse Avenue Court on Monday granted bail to Hyderabad-based chartered accountant Butchibabu Gorantla, arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam.
CBI had filed the chargesheet in October last year, against former Bihar chief ministers Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, their daughter Misa Bharti and 13 others in the land-for-jobs scam.
"The day trust vote was ongoing, and our Mahagathbandhan government was formed, I said then only that this series (raids) will continue," Tejashwi Yadav said.
Delhi court on Monday sent Delhi's former Deputy Chief Minister and AAP leader Manish Sisodia to judicial custody till March 20, in the case pertaining to Delhi excise policy case.
"The way people like the Taliban and the al-Qaeda take up weapons in their hands to eliminate their opponents, in the same way, this government is using weapons like ED-CBI to eliminate its opponents," Raut told reporters here.
He was arrested by the investigative agency in a case pertaining to alleged irregularities in the framing and implementation of the excise policy of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD).
