Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday took a dig at the central government after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a preliminary enquiry to probe 'alleged' irregularities in construction and renovation of his residence.
A single Bench of Delhi High Court has issued contempt notices to senior CBI Officers Vineet Vinayak, the then Joint Director, CBI and Gagandeep Gambhir, then Superintendent of Police, on petition of IFS Officer, Sanjiv Chaturvedi.

"Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has been given charge of security of CBI teams visiting various locations in Manipur for investigation purposes and collection of evidence," a senior official told ANI.
"After the completion of a preliminary enquiry into the matter and based on its outcome, a case will be registered. Every aspect will be probed in detail in the enquiry," an official said.

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday dismissed the plea moved against framing of charges in connection to the death of a businessman at a Gorakhpur hotel in Uttar Pradesh, in which six policemen have been named as accused.
