Those who indulge in corruption should be punished, said BJP MP Locket Chatterjee on Sunday amid CBI raids at the residence of Kolkata Mayor and West Bengal Minister Firhad Hakim.
CBI conducted searches at the residence of senior West Bengal minister Firhad Hakim in Kolkata Sunday morning in connection with its investigation into the alleged irregularities in recruitments made by the civic bodies in the state.
The raids were conducted at the premises of certain individuals including public servants in the ongoing municipal bodies recruitment investigation, CBI officials said.
"From education to coal, there is scam everywhere in West Bengal. There is a scam in everything. The CBI is investigating those cases as well," Dilip Ghosh said.
