Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has ordered an inquiry by the Crime Branch, Crime Investigation Department (CB-CID) on the issue and transferred District Collector Sravankumar Jatavath and appointed MS Prashanth as the new Collector for Kallkurichi district.
The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Wednesday ordered a CB-CID (Crime Branch-Crime Investigation Department) probe into the Sangamviduthi village water tank incident.
"The closure report was given in 2019 itself. It came before the Court in recent days. We reopened the matter as soon as we came to know. The Crime Branch, Crime Investigation Department (CB-CID), is investigating the matter. A detailed inquiry will be done and the culprits will be punished,
The accused, identified as Nagercoil Kasi, allegedly blackmailed more than 100 women, including a female doctor, by threatening them to upload their pornographic photos on the internet and extorting lakhs of rupees from them.
