The legislative resolution passed in the Tamil Nadu assembly against the Karnataka government over the Cauvery water dispute was unilateral, said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president K Annamalai on Tuesday.
Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader TKS Elangovan on Sunday targeted the BJP party over the Cauvery water sharing dispute, saying the “BJP is doing politics in the state”.
The Farmers Association under the leadership of Ayyakannu had earlier also on September 25 staged a half-naked protest in Trichy by holding parts of the human skeleton and demanding the sharing of Cauvery water to save the standing 'kuruvai' crop cultivation in Tamil Nadu.

Surya, who represents the Bangalore South constituency, made the remarks during a protest at Vidhana Soudha, alongside other BJP leaders, over the ongoing Cauvery River water conflict between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
"Today a dead rat was found in one of the breakfast packets from the meals supplied to the police assigned for duty in the ongoing Bengaluru Bandh and protests in the Cauvery water dispute," said Joint Commissioner of Traffic Police Anucheth.
