Armed rioters began unprovoked fire towards village Haraothel in Manipur on Thursday morning and swift action by the Army resulted in cessation of firing, said the Indian Army, adding that some casualties were also reported.
A massive fire broke out at a private resort on Tuesday, near the Sonapur area in the Kamrup Metropolitan district of Assam, according to police reports.
The UNAMA report highlighted that between the Taliban takeover on August 15 2021 and May 30 2023, UNAMA recorded 3,774 civilian casualties (1,095 killed, 2,679 wounded), among them 233 women (92 killed, 141wounded) and 866 children (287 killed, 579 wounded), as per Khaama Press.
The incident took place at Tower 02 of the Ajman One complex. The fire was effectively controlled and extinguished by civil defence and police officers, and no casualties have been recorded so far.
