Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the Uttar Pradesh government over the alleged mishandling of the Maha Kumbh Mela, accusing it of failing to account for missing devotees and misleading the public about casualties.
Soon after receiving the information, the officials of the fire department immediately reached to the spot with fire tenders and engaged in the firefighting operations. Upon the swift response, the fire was brought under control.
A huge fire broke out in the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation area of Shiravane on Friday. Blows of huge smoke were seen in the visuals, and fire tenders rushed to the spot and tried their best to control the fire.
"There were some miscreants who hurled a grenade at a temple after 12 am. There are no injuries or casualties... The situation is under control," Punjab minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal confirmed who assured the public that authorities were taking swift action.
According to Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), "A level 2 fire was reported in Filmcity Road, Near Wagheshwari Temple, Goregaon East. The fire is confined to ground-floor shops, huts."
Kailasagiri Ropeway charge spoke to ANI and said, "Dust was collected and set on fire here every day. Today, a tyre caught fire too and all the scrap was engulfed in fire. We stopped the ropeway and cleared the passengers. We closed this section and called the fire officials."
According to the Delhi Fire Services Department, the fire incident was reported at around 3.30 pm. Locals noticed the flames and immediately raised an alarm.
