Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday demanded special status for Bihar state so that it can move forward and also appealed to the Centre to conduct a caste-based census across the country.
On the second day of the Bihar assembly winter session, Bhartiya Janata Party workers staged a protest outside Vidhan Sabha against the Bihar Government over the use of water cannons on Anganvadi workers and the caste-based census report.
"I have cast my vote and I visited half of my constituency. I believe, from the political atmosphere on voting day, we shall be able to form the government and in my constituency in, we hope we shall get an overwhelming victory," Zoramthanga said.
Ahead of casting his vote for the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections, former chief minister and BJP leader Raman Singh who is seeking re-election from his seat in Rajnandgaon performed a pooja at his residence this morning.

The centenarian, Pu Rualhnudala came to vote along with his 86-year-old wife, Pi Thanghleithluaii, setting couple goals in this season of assembly elections.
"We expect to get a single-party majority...We are very much confident that ZPM will get the absolute majority seats and form the government," K Sapdanga said.
Chhattisgarh Commerce, Industries and Excise Minister and Congress candidate from Konta Assembly Constituency, Kawasi Lakhma cast their votes for the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections 2023 saying that we are fighting on the issue of development, security and peace.
"We are confident that we will form the government. In this constituency, it is difficult to prophesy. But I think we can come on top," Lalsawta said speaking to ANI after casting his vote.
