Justice (retd) Arshad Hussain Shah has been sworn in as the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa caretaker chief minister, a day after former chief executive Azam Khan passed away following a brief illness, Dawn newspaper reported.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Governor Ghulam Ali administered the oath in a ceremony held at the Governor’s house and was attended by KP caretaker chief minister Mohammad Azam Khan and others.

Baqar name was approved after three rounds of discussion between outgoing Singh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Leader of Oppositon in the dissolved Singh Assembly Rana Ansar.

The sources indicated that the party had finalised the name of former Karachi commissioner Shoaib Siddiqui for the top provincial spot for the caretaker setup.
The Punjab caretaker government on Saturday took the decision to arrest more than 500 women for their alleged involvement in the arson attacks that took place in the province on May 9.
Naqvi said that around 34 attackers were involved in the attack on Jinnah House in Lahore. He said that the rioters and arsonists burnt safe city cameras on May 9 and two metro stations in Lahore, according to ARY News report.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday ordered authorities to arrest all culprits and attackers responsible for the vandalism and arson at the Jinnah House and military and civil installations within 72 hours, ARY News reported.
