Indian Army troops along with National Cadet Corps Cadets and school students of the local area from Gulmarg celebrated the 74th Republic Day in the Gulmarg Sector of Jammu & Kashmir.

Rajnath Singh, who visited National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day camp here, called upon the youth to identify new ways to take the nation to greater heights while staying connected with the country's age-old values and traditions.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Thursday flagged off NCC cadets participating in the 1,300km Java-Yezdi Motorcycle Rally from Dandi to Delhi from Gandhinagar to Delhi as a symbol of self-reliant India's journey from salt to software.
Bhat appreciated the role of NCC cadets in community development and social service schemes like the National Youth Festival, International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking and Nasha Mukti Abhiyan.
The CDS also visited the 'Flag Area' prepared by the NCC cadets, depicting various social awareness themes and cultural activities. The cadets briefed him in detail about their respective State Directorate themes.
The display was organized under the 'Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat' programme by the government of India in which infantry weapons and a pipe band were on display.
