Notably, nine seats in Uttar Pradesh including Meerapur, Kundarki, Ghaziabad, Khair, Karhal, Sishamau, Phulpur, Katehari and Majhawan in Uttar Pradesh will go to voting on November 20 with results set to be declared on November 23.
The Samajwadi Party leader also alleged that during the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the Police officials deployed at polling stations misused their power and position, and made SP supporters, especially Muslim women voters remove their veils, causing fear among the women.
SP leader and Samajwadi Party Mainpuri MP Dimple Yadav on Monday expressed confidence in the party's victory in the Uttar Pradesh by-polls and accused the BJP of desperate tactics, trying to win at any cost by pressuring officials and attempting to manipulate votes.
CM Dhami urged the public to support BJP candidate Asha Nautiyal. The Chief Minister said, "Asha Nautiyal ji herself has stood in the election with her report card. Asha Nautiyal ji has an attachment and connection with this area."
Speaking to ANI, Fakhrul Hasan Chand also exuded confidence in winning the Uttar Pradesh by-polls along with Assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand.
Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly by-polls, Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Yadav claimed that the BJP is frequently lying to the people and does not work.
"Yesterday my wedding ceremony took place and today before the farewell rituals I have come to cast my vote. Voting is very important and everyone should vote..." she said.
Earlier today, Rahul Lohar cast his vote for the Madarihat assembly by-poll and said that the people in his constituency will answer the atrocities committed against women in this poll.
