Former First Lady of Pakistan Bushra Bibi moved the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday for a medical examination in Shaukat Khanum hospital after allegations that she is being given poisonous substances at the Bani Gala sub-jail.
Former First Lady Bushra Bibi was granted permission to visit the Adiala Jail to meet with PTI founder and former PM Imran Khan on the occasion of Eid.
Tarar's statement came after Imran Khan alleged that the senior military leadership "implicated" him and his wife Bushra Bibi in the Toshakhana case "in an attempt to stifle my spirits".
Amid allegations that Bushra Bibi, the spouse of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, was poisoned at Bani Gala sub-jail, personal physician Asim Yousuf confirmed conducting a medical examination.
In a statement, a PTI spokesperson called the postponement of Senate polls for not administering the oath to members on reserved seats in the provincial assembly "ridiculous" as the heads of state were also elected without members on reserved seats in national and provincial assemblies.
Rauf Hassan, the party spokesperson, emphasised that all endeavours aimed at harming Imran Khan had failed, asserting, "It is prayed that the good series of events that started today continue, and the country comes out of the clutches of fascism."
The Islamabad High Court on Monday suspended the 14-year sentence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the Toshakhana case, reported The News International.
