The Karnataka Cabinet on Friday approved amendment to the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurement (KTPP) Act which aims to provide 4 per cent reservation in tenders to Muslim contractors, official sources said.
"Especially, the announcement that any land purchased in a woman's name will receive a 1 per cent rebate... It is a super budget," Selvaperunthagai said.
Further, he stated that Tamil Nadu ranked first in the industry and education sector, further stating that it also concentrated on schools and higher education.
Speaking to ANI, Soundarajan said "This is a failed and empty budget. The state government's only aim was to change the logo of the state budget and not to change the fate of the people of Tamil Nadu...."
Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu on Friday stated that the central transfers from the Union Government in the form of Grants-in-aid and share in central taxes as a proportion of total revenue receipts have reduced significantly.
