The first session of the newly elected Bihar Legislative Assembly began on Monday, with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, along with newly elected MLAs, arriving to participate in the important session.

BSP's Satish Kumar Singh Yadav won the elections from Ramgarh assembly constituency, located in the Kaimur district. It is worth noting that Yadav won the polls with a narrow margin of 30 votes, as he polled 72,689 votes. He defeated BJP's Ashok Kumar Singh, who had received 72,659 votes.

Ahead of the Bihar elections, BSP leader Ramji Gautam on Saturday asserted that they will end the jungle raj if the party BSP comes to power in the state.
Referring to what she described as a "poisonous and violent game" by mischievous elements, Mayawati alleged that certain "criminal and anti-social elements" were taking the law into their own hands under the guise of opposing religious conversion and so-called "love jihad".
